GREEN KNIGHTS OCTOBER, ’04 NEWSLETTER
We’ll folks, another season of club activities is upon us, along with the
crisp fall air, and soon to be followed by a MASSIVE dump of snow by late
December. We’ve all been waiting
patiently over the past few years for good/early snow, and the law of averages
is bound to help us out this year.
In the meantime, we have a full plate of activities over the next 6
weeks. The big one is the annual Grass
Drags November 6th. Lots of
fun for the whole family, and of course the day will include plenty of food and
drink, not to mention an Ugliest
Sled Contest… don’t miss it, and
spread the word! Details will be up on
the website this week, or you can call Jessie for details @ .
Other noteworthy items: Club meetings will now be held at Third Base Sports Bar in Greenville, and each club meeting will feature a
“sign-in” prize. Just like your
favorite pub’s sign-in, each club member is assigned a permanent number, and
midway through each meeting, we will throw the numbers of all members in attendance that evening into a hat, then draw one name. Some
lucky-duck in attendance will go home with a prize each meeting. Prizes will range from dinner gift
certificates for two, to snowmobile sport items, etc.
This season the Club will also have an accumulating point system for
those members who help with such activities as set-up/take-down for Grass
Drags, or Trail Marking, etc… At the
end of the season, the top point holder will be awarded a substantial prize for
outstanding service to the Club. This
prize will be announced at the October 10th meeting.
The overall goal here is to have plenty of fun with our club meetings and
activities, and further reward much needed and much appreciated
participation in the club. Hope to see
you at the next meeting.

November 6 Grass Drags - On November 6, the Green Knights will be hosting their 2nd annual Tri-county
Grass Drags. We are asking for more help this year from our members due
to the close proximity of this event to the start of trail marking. (November
13). Even a couple of hours of help bartending, cooking, parking lot
attendant, etc. would be much appreciated and needed to make this event a
success.
2004 -2005 Membership Forms – Application for AWSC membership for paid members will be submitted to AWSC the day after the November 14 meeting. Please have your club membership forms submitted to the address on the form before Nov. 15 to ensure no interruption to receipt of the monthly Wisconsin Snowmobiling News magazine by AWSC and ensure your family is covered by AWSC insurance the first time you take the trail this season.
